El otro día, el conocido blog sobre el movimiento Host en español SP Host Club; actualizó con un breve escrito basado en un artículo de Patrick Macías (un californiano afincado en Japón y aficionado a su cultura juvenil).

En él se explicaba que el famoso centro comercial 109-2, dedicado a moda masculina, está en una gran crisis. La mayoría de ropa es realmente cara y los clientes prefieren conseguir ropa mejor de precio y alejarse de precios prohibitivos. También hay que tener en cuenta que dentro de la moda gyaru el % de chicos es bastante inferior al de las chicas.
In these post he explained that the superfamous mall 109-2, dedicated to male fashion, it's in a huge crisis. The most clothes are really expensive and the customers prefer to buy clothes at better price. We must to have in mind that in the gyaru scene the % of boys is so low than the girls.

- El 109 sigue atrayendo a las chicas, pero la planta de chicos no tuvo mucho éxito, excepto en el boom gyaru-o en el 2007.
- 109 continues to attrack girls but the boy's floor don't have some success, except in the 2007 gyaru-o boom.
- Que se empezara a vender artículos de "edición limitada", extremadamente caros.
- To sell limited edition products, extremely expensive.
- Que trataran al gaijin (extrangero) de una forma fría e incluso borde, cerrando mucho la escena.
- The deal with gaijin (foreign) in a cold and rude way, closing the scene.
- La mayoría de chicos que empezaron al 2007 ya no son gyaru-o's (como mucho han evolucionado hacia host).
- The most of boys who in 2007 were gyaru-o in nowadays they aren't (at most some of them could be host)
- La imposición del Amekaji en todos lados, quedando todo muy monótono.
- The imposition of Amekaji style everywhere, turning all so monotonous.
- Actualmente hay más gyaru-o modelos que en la calle.
- Now exist more gyaru-o in the fashion magazines (like Men's Egg) than in the streets.
